Everyone certainly wants a beautiful and lasting relationship/ Marriage but so many fail to understand that, there are secrets behind the blissful relationships/Marriage we admire.
The first secret is the knowledge Of the word of God. The Bible records in the book of Hosea 4:6 “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children”.
Knowledge is power:
No matter how much you try to make your relationship/Marriage work without the right knowledge of the word of God, your efforts will be in Vain.
Successful marriages do not just happen, it takes great commitment and dedication for a marriage to succeed and be blissful.
Secondly, Love and Commitment:
The Bible instructs the men to love their wives because men have a problem with Commitment but the word of God is the only tool capable of making a man choose his wife by disciplining himself to please God and neglecting every other woman. A Man who isn’t rooted in the word of God will find this difficult and that’s why it’s very important to marry a man who fears the Lord.
Another secret is submission as believers in Christ:
The Bible says in Ephesians 5:21:
“ Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.” that is to say,
Submission is applicable to the men as well as the woman.
However, It is dangerous for a woman to go into a marriage with a man she would not willingly submit herself to; it is better that such a woman does not marry at all.
Women generally have a problem with submission and that’s why the Bible instructs the woman to submit to her husband irrespective of her class and level in the society, the husband remains the Head of the woman.
When the word of God says “Wives, submit….” Some people take it as a piece of advice rather than the express command it is. It must be obeyed. In fact, the Bible goes further to reveal the degree of the submission; it says in Ephesians 5:24:
“as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything”.
However, this is my advice to men.
When a woman is submissive please never take it for granted. You are to love her, respect her as well.
Over Time, I’ve discovered women tend to be more submissive when they are Loved and appreciated.
Above all, the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.
Husbands love your wives.
Wives Submit to your Husbands.
